Show of hands, who doesn't like good food? Nobody? Yea, that's what I figured - that's also what local Community Connector and Founder of Eat the FM Area, Brian Larry, figured as well.

His journey in building Eat the FM Area, started around June of 2022. In an effort to find his community and share his love of good food, he took to Facebook and began sharing local restaurants' posts and his own experience, while encouraging others to do the same. Since then, through countless hours of work and dedication to building community, Brian has built one of the most popular and reliable online foodie communities in our area, with approximately 35k followers across his Facebook page, Facebook group and Instagram (that's almost 20% of the combined population of Fargo & Moorhead š®). What started out as a way to build a foodie hub and guide to eating local, quickly morphed into a platform for local restaurants to gain free exposure and advertising, thus solidifying his page's spot as a valuable local resource for all.

In addition to the creation and management of this online community, Brian has created a digital Foodie Book, which contains $1200 in savings across 30 local restaurants, and a Drink Card containing $672 in free drinks from 24 locations (āget yours hereā)!
All proceeds that he receives ensures that he is available to continue connecting local businesses with our foodie community in fun, creative ways... Such as his recently announced local foodie peg board challenge that he partnered with Grumpy Dad Wood Co. to create (āclick here to find out moreā).

Now, if the name Brian Larry sounds familiar above and beyond Eat the FM Area, that's because it should. He has been a part of many initiatives that have brought together and strengthened the FM community. These initiatives include (but are definitely not limited to) a series on Monday mornings called Eat the FM Area on KVLY North Dakota Today, which went for approximately 45 episodes, as well as having been apart of a radio duo with Patrick Kirby on a show called Do Gooders Radio, designed to help link nonprofits and charities with funding to further their mission!
Ever the community connector and foodie, Brian has also begun writing a newsletter that helps local foodies maximize their dining experience in the FM area (you can āsign up here), started an offshoot page called The FM Area Cooks at Home, which helps inspire followers to try new foods at home, and created another series of Facebook groups across 45 different states called Where's The Foodtruck?, which allows foodies to track the location of their local food trucks. Seriously, what can't this guy do???
Everything Brian does is in support of his ultimate goal of positively impacting 1 billion people within his lifetime! If you want to support his efforts, be sure to visit his āFacebook Pageā.
